Major General Mohammad Salimi (Persian: سرلشکر محمد سليمي) is the former commander-in-chief of the Iranian Army.[1][2] He was appointed to the post in 2000 and resigned in 2005. He was succeeded by major general Ataollah Salehi as the commander-in-chief of the Iranian Army.
He was also the defence minister in the cabinet of Mir-Hossein Mousavi with the rank of colonel.
